I hope my own process can inspire you to hope, that every painting can go through an ugly-duckling-phase before achieving beauty. And even then, leaving some of that ugliness behind (intentional or not) gives us a testimony—there is potential for glorification in all of us.

The main concept was to create a happy breezy mood without getting all colourful. Achieved by bright light shapes on her nose and forehead, subtle color harmony and whisps of hair.
