Gramskrit, Volume 1

The Scuppernong Expedition

You are about to embark on a visual journey, a journal, relaying the bizzarre, mundane, poetic and philosophical from the depths of the imagination concourse. This book contains a montage of illustration and design; everything from talking scissors and whining aliens to designer socks and of course lots and lots of fish. Unfortunately, Mubutu, our usual guide has mysteriously disappeared. You'll have to find your own way.

GOOD LUCK!

It's my brain! The fluids in my brain are being worn down by the battle. The battle of flesh and spirit. Both are strong. Both seem equal. This begins my insanity.

Close minded people are not those who know truth and refuse to be dissuaded by lies. Rather, those who believe in lies and discard truth are those who are close minded.

The everyday person doesn't know trillions of neutrinos pass through one's body every second.

Ode To Shadow

The sun warmed my spirit/ My old friend came out to see me/ Although my busy and hurry was lost in time

"Stop, stop," he said. "Stay here awhile/ Let us lie on the grass and dream of coastline breezes and saltwater waves lapping the shores of old while sunlight so bright sings our souls into warm sleep.

"No, my friend," I replied/ necessity drawls nigh/ My duty of provision remains/ You stay here and dream/ When my day is gone then, come, tell me of your dreams."

The Long Journey Home

This comic book is a satire of some of my early childhood writtings.

The plane was headed toward Germany. The sodiers jumped./ I wasn't looking forward to my long journey home./ We were scared. . .a little./ Not much./ Actually we were happy./ We were way off target. The Nazi were on us as soon as we hit the ground./ I landed in a swamp. I got pretty wet./ . . . I was a soldier. The name is Lewis. . .Lewis, Lewis./ The noise was silent. Then I heard machine guns. "My name is Lewis," I said./My name is Lewis./ Word Jaz./ I accidentally killed my friends. I was sorry./ A little./ Not much./ Actually I was happy./ "It's a happy day, and things are gonna get better."/ I did a lot more things./ I got captured./ I got sent home early./ The war was still going, but no one would admit it./ I lived until I died, or a little longer./ The end.
